If education is what frames our world and teaches us how and what to think, then we must keep a close eye on the education of our children. Today, 85 percent of Christian families send their children to government schools, which is comparable to Old Testament Isrealities sending their children to the Philistines to become educated. The family of faith needs to take back responsiblity for our childrens' education, as the things they learn in school affect their view of the government, of the family, and of God. Kirk reminds us that "Your family is God's chief instrument for biblical, heavenly, healthy transfomation; it must center in your home." Christ-centered parents have been tasked with training their children in the way of the Lord, and if this mission is neglected, the divine mission of heaven-izing the earth will fade away.To learn more, visit kirkcameron.com To learn more about the sponsor of today’s show and what our family currently uses for our healthcare check out Christian Healthcare Ministries by visiting https://hubs.ly/Q02vWQGy0Editing and production services provided by thepodcastupload.com Learn more about your ad choices. One of the Founding Fathers of this country, Samuel Adams, once said, "It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." This quote perfectly represents the modern-day mission of the family of faith, who must be committed to God and His hope for the earth. In His perfect timing, God uses people to turn the masses back to Him, but we must take up our mission as loving soldiers in God's army of compassion. If we are passive to this calling, just waiting around on earth until our time in heaven comes, we pose no threat in the battle against evil. We must not forget that the final chapter of the gospel story is "restoration," which tasks the family of faith with blessing and heaven-izing the earth. God has placed man on the earth to govern it, beautify it, and take dominion over it, but the saving power of Jesus calls us to spread the light and bring biblical transformation to our world as we know it.To learn more, visit kirkcameron.com To learn more about the sponsor of today’s show and what our family currently uses for our healthcare check out Christian Healthcare Ministries by visiting https://hubs.ly/Q02vWQGy0Editing and production services provided by thepodcastupload.com Learn more about your ad choices. How should we, as the family of faith, be responding to the things the U.S. government tells us or wants from us? For many Christians, this is a difficult question to answer, as there are passages in the Bible that say we must be obedient to the government because God has ordained it. Even still, we must be careful listening to people in powerful positions in government who don’t know who God is, and don’t know what He has been doing for His people throughout history. Followers of Christ are not meant to be complacent and obedient to secular government, but are meant to be salt and light to a fallen world. It is our challenge to balance our perspective, always seeking peace and blessing by God. Change begins at the local, grassroots level, which is where the family of faith has an obligation and a calling to stand against tyrannical power. The more that our world reflects the Kingdom of heaven, the more we will see lasting liberty in place of short-term victories. To learn more, visit kirkcameron.com To learn more about the sponsor of today’s show and what our family currently uses for our healthcare check out Christian Healthcare Ministries by visiting https://hubs.ly/Q02vWQGy0Editing and production services provided by thepodcastupload.com Learn more about your ad choices. In times of crisis, we as the family of faith are not meant to just sit back and watch the news, relying on our government to tell us what to think. The things taking place in the U.S. should be a catalyst, transforming peoples’ attitudes toward God and each other. We need to look back to America’s past Great Awakenings, and see how God has used his people in the face of crisis and unrest. Kirk reminds listeners that we don’t just get saved by Jesus and then wait passively on earth until we reach the Kingdom; instead, we must deal with our own hearts in the here and now, and bring heaven to earth. If our hope is for the family of faith to be governing ourselves and keeping a covenant with God, then we need a revolution to take place in our hearts. If you are hoping for another great awakening to take hold of America, ask God to use you and open your eyes to your role in history, and ask Him to bring about an army of compassion that will permeate society. In the last few decades, the Church has escaped from its responsibility to take a stand against tyranny. Our founding fathers were once actively applying Scripture to their lives and to the formation of the republic, encouraged by the words of patriot pastors. There is no one more equipped and called by God than pastors to teach American citizens how to apply biblical principles to every aspect of our lives, and we have lost the importance of that leadership. In early America, the pulpits became the source of discipleship that spread the vales of biblical faith, so that Americans could stand with character and principle against tyranny. The men and women who founded our country did not want to establish a theocracy, but they did seek the ability to govern themselves according to Christian values. If we hope to become a united country that is not easily toppled by worldwide powers, we must go back to the principles of the U.S. Constitution and empower our pastors to lead us well.To learn more, visit kirkcameron.com To learn more about the sponsor of today’s show and what our family currently uses for our healthcare check out Christian Healthcare Ministries by visiting https://hubs.ly/Q02vWQGy0Editing and production services provided by thepodcastupload.com Learn more about your ad choices. Our founding fathers and mothers believed that citizens of America could only handle freedom if they governed themselves according to the principles of the Bible. Due to our human nature, freedom is dangerous and could lead to corruption. But if you live out the laws of Scripture, and do so with faith and character, you’ll be able to properly handle the power that comes with liberty. Religion and morality are the only true supports of our republic, and can transform the character of this nation as a whole. It is only by the Word of God that we learn how to handle freedom, and if we can’t govern ourselves with character, the United States may fall into tyranny. What’s next for faith-minded people in America is to start more campfires around the country, and educate one another of the principles that God is calling us to live into.To learn more, visit kirkcameron.com To learn more about the sponsor of today’s show and what our family currently uses for our healthcare check out Christian Healthcare Ministries by visiting https://hubs.ly/Q02vWQGy0Editing and production services provided by thepodcastupload.com Learn more about your ad choices. God is not deaf to the cries of his people, which means He is not deaf to the cry of evil. The God of the Bible is not disconnected to our pain and suffering, but is actively at work bringing His purposes for the World and using suffering for good. The family of faith in American has been given a mission to cry out against the evil we see in our country, and we have abandoned that mission. Our reaction to God is similar to that of Jonah, who was given the mission by God to reach the people of Nineveh, and who said no to God’s instruction. Maybe the destruction and divisiveness we see in the United States are God’s waves and whale — afflicting us because we have said no to His calling. To fix this, and restore our covenant with God, we need to align ourselves with the mission that God gave us when America was first born. The prosperity of the United States has made American citizens arrogant, and we’ve forgotten what made our country successful and special — the blessing of God as a result of being in right relationship with Him. Our forefathers and foremothers understood that the Bible must be used as a blueprint for our country, but we have forgotten the covenant that our founders made with God. As a result of the fall, the heart of man is deceitful, so we cannot place our hope in the future on the “promises” of a political party. Many American citizens feel trapped under our country’s system of greed, like slaves to a government that we don’t agree with and don’t know how to fix. If we don’t learn how to re-apply the truths of the Bible to our homes, schools, and government, America’s prosperity and greed will become an idol and threaten the future of our country. Instead, we must place our hope in the God of heaven, follow the example of Jesus, and be the kind of nation that offers freedom to its citizens and brings heaven to earth. The American people must hold onto our republic and use it God’s way, or we risk losing it altogether. When we look back into biblical history, we see countless examples of revivals happening under leaders who align their nation with the truth and law of the Bible. Perhaps the greatest example of these is the story of King Josiah, who found the Book of the Law and set out to apply it in the everyday life of his nation, which brought a complete transformation. In America, we have lost the direction of Scripture — the Bible needs to be lived, not just preached on Sundays. We won’t experience internal freedom from sin or external freedom from the threat of tyranny until we are set on fire by the teachings of God’s word.To learn more, visit kirkcameron.com To learn more about the sponsor of today’s show and what our family currently uses for our healthcare check out Christian Healthcare Ministries by visiting https://hubs.ly/Q02vWQGy0Editing and production services provided by thepodcastupload.com Learn more about your ad choices. What do you do when someone apologizes and then immediately wants the person they sinned against to forgive right away?
